The Floating Bridge in Dubai, a first of its kind in the Emirates, has quickly become one of the prominent structures in this area. It holds six lanes across the Dubai Creek, designed by Waagner-Biro. It was designed primarily to help alleviate the Al Maktoum Bridge traffic. 2. Al Maktoum Bridge

Al Maktoum Bridge

The Al Maktoum Bridge, among the first bridges in Dubai, has endured several changes ever since it was built in 1969. The improvements were made in 1974, 1990, 2001 and 2007, resulting in an improvement in the bridge’s ability to carry cars, and so on. A variety of variations have also been made to the toll system upon this bridge, and Salik (road toll) has been levied after 2008.

3. Al Garhoud Bridge

Al Garhoud Bridge

The Al Garhoud Bridge, another of the road bridges over Dubai Creek, was built to help fix the problem of heavy traffic. In 1976, the old Al Garhoud Bridge was opened to the public. But because of the large number of roads linked to it, traffic jams in Dubai have become a regular concern. Around 2006 and 2008, this job was done.

4. Business Bay Crossing

Business Bay Crossing

Business Bay Crossing, one of the most newly constructed bridges in Dubai, links Deira to Bur Dubai by six of its 13 lanes, and Bur Dubai to Deira by the remaining seven. The bridge offers vehicles travelling from Bur Dubai to Deira and Sharjah an easy corridor.
